My name is Benjamin Benavides. I own the company HiDefRodeo. We are a full service audio/video production company servicing rodeos and rodeo-related events. We travel an average of 30,000 miles per year going from one event to another.
We are currently using a 2007 Freightliner Columbia Class A motorcoach to pull a 30' long 2003 Renegade Stacker trailer. The trailer is equipped with three 8,000 lbs axles with a running weight of 21,400 lbs.
The Achilles heel of anyone pulling a trailer down the road is always the tires and blowouts. Over the last 10 years, I have averaged one blowout every 1,000 miles. This was the case even when I was running Goodyear 16-ply all steel radials.
This year I had a full set of Boar Wheel and Tire combo package installed on my trailer. To date, I have over 11,000 miles on this new running gear and have not had one single tire or wheel issue since installing them. By the way, at the time that I had the new wheels and tires installed, an inspection of my old wheels revealed that 3 of the 6 aluminum wheels were cracked.
